Globen- Our hearts were with Danny, As Loreen took the Melodifestivalen Prize 2012.

There is always in any competion - a firm favourite that Loreen proved she was before the Final- however before Loreen's victory you could feel the emotional supense

as the public voting was slowly unfolded. Loreen managed to get 22 points more than Danny Saucedo's 'Amazing' from the international juries. For some strange reason Bosnia Hertz gave Danny no points at all ! Loreen was sure to give Danny a big commiserations hug as soon

as her win was annouched- that was very touching yet you could see the hurt in Danny's eyes!

As Christer Bjorkman put it " To come a runner up two years running is not very funny at all- We hope Danny will find courage to comeback to the competion again" even Peter Joback who is over in London currently said on-line 'Danny is a great man- and his professionalism made Peter feel proud to be swedish tonight'

Even Sarah Dawn Finer in a recent interview told reporters - one of the main reason she took great pleasure in being one of 2012's out-standing hosts of Melodifestivalen 2012. Is because this meant she could take part in Melodifestivalen without being a contestant at all- as back in 2009 when Sarah Dawn sang 'Moving On' and finished 6th she found it emotionally just too much for her.

It is tough at the top of the Melodifestivalen tree- yet there can be only one winner and one song and Loreen has shown us great calm and the perfect new personality to represent Sweden in Baku. A quality that is equally as important -as a great Eurovision song just remember Germany's Lena in 2010.

Outside the Top 2- the results were a lot less predictable as who would believe Ulrik Munther would pull off a third placing- and Top Cats took themselves out of Second Chance round to finish in 6th place. I hope we see both of these new artists back again in Melodifestivalen their tunes are certainly growers. Molly Sanden did not quiet gain the public votes that I was expecting from the winnner of semi- final 2

and took the 5 placing.

It's all over now for Melodifestivalen 2012 (sniff) - yet at least we have one fantastic good reason to tune in to Eurovision 2012 in May. Thank you Loreen for coming back after 2011. Loreen shows that you can always find the stength to comeback after a fall. (Loreen's 'My heart is refusing Me' never qualified for last year's Globen final)

on Walking' as bit of a crazy gimmick for Salem's song!!

Just how it all works, we shall have to see.

There seems to be no clear favourite in Melodifestivalen 2010- Many

of the swedish press are showing different poll leaders Anna Bergendahl,

Eric Saade, Salem Al

Fakir & Darin. Here at schlagertunes we are thinking it should end up

a race of the three best songs for a Eurovision audience, between

Peter Joback's 'Hollow' Eric's 'Man boy' or Timoteij 'Kom'

The final 10 songs suffer from a

ballad traffic-jam of having 4-5 songs all mellow love-songs So this could

mean

they will split up the votes too much.

If the public vote for too many of the favorite ballads,

it maybe one up-beat song that wins the day. This would be good

for Sweden in Oslo where there is already more than the normal amount of ballads

confirmed.

At just 18 years old, Anna Bergendahl has become one of the

TOP favourites in many polls for Globen 2010- with her tune

'This is my live'

She scored only a 5th place in Sweden's idol 2008. Anna's Mf performance

took her direct-to-Globen leaving her competion behind.

Whatever the swedish public vote for we have the New European juries

This is a new four piece band made up of Par Stenhammar, Emelie Fjallstrom,

Robert Kragh ( from Colombia) Elena Boyadjyevda (from Bulgaria) Although a new band
they have one German Hit single to their name already with 'Rising Girl' In Malmo
they will sing a great pop number "Thursdays" its a great pop tune a little
different yet this could be a recipe for success in Melodifestivalen 2010.

'Timoteij' are the winners in Goteberg-Go Direct To Globen and Stardom

We have a brand new Star of Melodifestivalen.
As Folk-band Timoteiji beat off all the competion to gain first place honour
and went direct to Globen in Goteburg last night along with Darin with
his power- ballad.



Celebrations for Darin - He is now all smiles, with Alcazar who made 2nd chance round

Who is Erik Linder?

Erik will perform a modern folk song called

'Hur kan jag tro på kärlek'

He is a new artist who had his debut album out just last year

for this album he covers classic swedish songs from the likes of

Marie Fredrikkson

Kent, and even Eva Dahlgren's classic 'Angeln i Rummet'

He became a finalist in the Tv show Talang 2009.

He has been called a young -Ted Gardestad, and does a version of

'För kärlekens skull' on his album, as well as Ted's songwriting brother

Kenneth had a hand in writing this melodifestivalen entry. Erik is 190 cm tall

and if there will be a swedish song at Globen in 2010, this is the best qualifier. He's up against

Darin & Alcazar so Erik may have to get there from the second chance round.

with 'You're Out of My Life'

a strong ballad- And something of a style-change for Darin who has brought out

so many up-beat dance hits. The latest No:1 being his great version of Coldplay's

'Viva La Vida' He says this song is about a broken relationship, which is sung

from the heart as just 18 months ago he broke-up from a recent romance

over in Germany...is Melodifestivalen ready for a new 'Empty Room' like
