Krassimir Vs Marlena An opera Super Duel in Semi Final 1 - Moscow 2009

Yes, it looks like we have two Opera Singers going to Moscow each

with their own combination of pop-opera. From Bulgaria we find 

KRASSIMIR

He is a male Soprano with a 4 octave range. He has lived in USA since 1999 & is freinds with the likes of Lionel Richie! A graduate of 

National Academy for Theatrical and Film Arts (NATFIZ)   and also he  received  in 2005 at LA Music awards the 'Superstar of the Year'  award.   His latest  album sums up his musical style called 'Popera' 

Check out his video clip (above) where he is transformed into a medieval knight going into battle, parts of this vid were filmed on banks of the Danube. Yet although we like this offering for Moscow the tune is not as grand as 'La Voix' lets hope we see both artists make it to 

this classical Eurov' Final!

Melodifestivalen-winner twice- a host, & icon she brought us

'Hero' last year and has become perhapes Sweden's best Eurovision

ambassador. As Charlotte Nilsson she began as the lead singer with famous

dansbands Anders Engbergs & Wizex, then in 1998 she went solo.

This meant she was choosen to take Sweden to Jerusalem in Eurovision

Song Contest 1999- where she won with 'Take me to your Heaven'

Then in Mf 2004 she took on the massive role of hosting the show and heats .

In 2008 she returned as the Mf favourite to win Melodifestivalen 2008.

Charlotte is a schlager icon today- just like in her song 'Hero' she is our

Schlager Hero 3.

Charlotte Perrelli's Hero Micophone - will become a whole building Tribute in Stockholm!

It's true, how very FABU-SCHLAGER- TISTIC!

The city of Stockholm architect Gert Wingårdh said 'I was inspired by Charlotte Perrell's Mic when she sang "Hero" in Mf 2008. It was so wonderful.

The glittering mic was the opening scene for 'Hero' performed & won by Charlotte in Mf 2008. Now its a schlager tribute!
This is a 120 meter tall hotel to be built in Kista outside Stockholm custom made for International Fairs. The facade is composed of reflective glass.

The new Sales Charts are out today! To the shock news that the Singles chart 

has been taken over by some Russian Rap song "Tingalinn"-How dare this song stop

Marlena's rightful poll position No 1. Yet this is yet another song from Mf  it is the interval

song done by P-Bros & DJ Trexx, the whole song was a joke- That following the Globen Mf  Final

caused a bit of a stir over in Russia. They did not like it & some of the Soviet references! I am not convinced it is a worthy No 1

Yet the swedes luv it, and it's the first Mf interval song to hit the top of the chart.

Meanwhile more glitterball action in the Albums Chart as many artists bring out a whole

Album to follow their Melodifestivalen Entry. Alcazar went in at No 6 last week & stay the night at 6!

Caroline Af Uggas jumps straight in at top slot with her new album, + Lili & Susie have a

Basta-Hits package coming in at 9.  Expect more Albums movement next week. As 

the Mf still has 16 songs in the Top 20, in the third week after the final, in the 2008 Charts it took the

combination of Madonna with Justin Timberlake to break up this Mf after-party !

Jonathan Fagerlund's Vid for 'Welcome To My Life'

Welcome To My Life - Jonathan Fagerlund This great tune did'nt go to Globen. Still Jonathan became a big hit in the first Semi Final.

Now in the aftermath its turned out one of the best of 2009. 

The Talented Mr Rybak: He will sing for Norway in Moscow-Alexander here on NRK

Alexander Rybak in 2006 he won the talent competition Kjempesjansen (Big Chance) on NRK.

Norway TV This featured his own song 'Foolin' Here Alex sings "All I do is dream of you' on 'Ikveld' Tonight Show. And "I'm Yours" recently on Norsk Tv

is he dreaming hoping to be in Melodifestival 2010- we think so, he certainly does this Fredrik Kempe song justice. Christer Bjorkman, where are you ?

Schlager-Heros 2-Fredrik Kempe (Songwriter of 'La Voix' & 'Hero')

Fredrik Kempe is the songwriter of 'La Voix' and no stranger to Mf. He first sang
his own song ' Finally' back in Melodifestivalen 2004, this song was a tribute to Benny Andersson. In 2005 he sang with Sanna Neilsson "Du och jag mot varlden" this finished 8 th in Mf. Fredrik
went on to have a another big hit with 'Vincero' ( see Vid) in fact you maybe thinking this is almost La Voix part 2
yet this is a famous opera classic. I recently discovered his fantastic video for the tune I already luv.
Here we can see, even if Marlena has a bad-hair day in Moscow Fredrik could easily transform
from songwriter to opera singer !
Its a great version from the swedish mastro who has wrote the Mf winner two years in a row, as well as 'Cara Mia' & 'Vagar du Vager jag'' (Sanna Nielsen 2007)
We can be assured he will bring us many more classics to the Mf stage.
He is now our 2nd 'Schlager Hero'
